Rodent control is rats or mice. It’s OK, we have traps for both.
This blog is a follow-up to our last post Rodent Control – Roof Rats Las Vegas. As part of the rodent control program, we must set traps and then monitor. In some Las Vegas Roof Rat situations, we have actually been witness to those set’s going off only minutes after placing them. Monitoring can mean to inspect your home’s accessibility or even to see if new signs of rat activity are present. All of this is done during the visit.
In today’s video, I will show just how successful these traps were at catching Las Vegas Roof Rats. For this catch, our objective was to catch as many of the Las Vegas Roof Rats as possible. Luring them out of their common areas, and into the only part of the attic accessible by humans. Rats are very cautious of anything new that has been introduced to their environment. New holes for travel, or a possible new food source will cause the rats to become curious, but will also take extreme precautions when approaching it. Las Vegas Roof Rats work on a simple safety system, to let the other rats know what is bad or good. If an area(s) have been urinated on, with much rat activity along with it, then the rats will know other ones have used this successfully. This is what creates “runs” or areas of travel.
Rodents cause structural damage when the problem is left to persist.
